Description

Take a 50-minute journey from Hilo down to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and circling back up again. Along this journey, you will see lava flows (when the volcano is erupting), rainforests, amazing sea arches, and so much more.

After lift-off, we head down the coast, with its incredible sea arches, black sand beaches, and newly formed land from the latest eruption in the area. The dramatic changes will be shocking to all familiar with the area before 2018. Our tour circles Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where you can see various craters and remnants of lava flows from the not-so-distant past.

We then hug the mountains and witness incredible rainforests and lush valleys as we make our way back towards Hilo and see the recent eruptions from Mauna Loa. Our 50-minute tour brings you back safely to Hilo, after a full circle of the southeastern part of the island.

Instructions

Weight limit is 240 lbs. If passenger exceeds weight limit, there will be a 50% surcharge.
Comfortable clothing is recommended for this tour. The darker, the better, as darker apparel reflects less light for picture taking.
These flights are available daily but only depart from the Hilo International Airport during the morning and afternoon. Restrictions

Seating for parties of more than 6, or weighing a combined 1000lbs, will be seated across multiple aircrafts. Please provide accurate body weights as our ability to execute tours depends on this.

Cancellation

Provide at least 72 hours notice before your tour to cancel or change your reservation. We will be happy to accommodate you.
Cancellations and no-shows within 48 hours of your scheduled tour time will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Is The Helicopter Wheelchair Accessible?

The lift-off base is wheelchair accessible and has a chair lift to assist passengers in and out of the helicopter. The base is compliant with ADA regulations.
Is There Parking At The Hilo Airport?

Yes, parking for 1-2 hours is $8, and 2-3 hours is $11. You will be issued a ticket at the entrance to the parking area and will need to present the ticket to the cashier when you exit.
How High And Low Will We Fly?

The Federal Aviation Administration has set an altitude restriction of 1500 feet, and we are permitted to fly as low as 500 feet. This range allows us to maintain optimal views of Mount Kilauea, expansive valleys, tropical rainforests, and everything in between.
