The tour begins with a pickup from anywhere on Kauai, be it the Lihue Airport, a cruise ship in the Nawiliwili Harbor, or from your vacation rental or hotel. From there your tour guide will take you to Wailua Falls, the legendary waterfall is located at the south end of the Wailua River, and drops 80 feet from the cliffs to the pool below. The next stop is another waterfall called Opaekaa Falls which is known for being incredibly accessible. This waterfall is 40 feet wide and drops a staggering 150 feet. After leaving the waterfall, it will be time to head over to the Kauai Hindu Monastery where you can walk around the grounds and enjoy the unique and distinctly spiritual surroundings. Next up is the Kilauea Lighthouse which stands as a stark white monument to the early days of seafaring in Hawaii.
The next part of the tour will take guests up to the Hanalei Valley Lookout which will give you an amazing vantage point from which to see the mountains and the expansive valley floor below them. Heading towards the ocean will bring you to Hanalei Bay which is a gorgeous sheltered bay surrounded by the small towns and resorts of Hanalei. Continuing along the coastline will bring you to another incredible North Shore bay called Kalihiwai. At the Kalihiwai Lookout you will be able to see the bay stretched out before you and nestled between volcanic cliffs covered in thick green vegetation. After checking out a couple more North Shore beaches, including Anini Beach and Larsens Beach it will be time to conclude the tour and head back to your original pickup location.

Heading north from the town of Lihue will bring you to the spectacular Wailua Falls. Located at the southern end of the Wailua River, the falls split into two streams before tumbling 80 to 100 feet down the cliffside into the deep blue pool below. The actual falls are not far from the road, so this stop is fairly quick and gives guests a chance to not only see a waterfall, but to grab some amazing photos as well.
This lighthouse, the full name if which is the Daniel K. Inouye Kilauea Point Lighthouse is a 52 foot structure that was built all the way back in 1913. The lighthouse, which once served as a key beacon for sailors coming into the harbors of Kauai is perched at the northernmost tip of Kauai. The lamp inside was replaced by an automatic beacon back in the 1970’s, so there is no longer any need for a lighthouse keeper to live there full time. The lighthouse location offers incredible views as well as photo opportunities.
