The nearby cave is fun to explore and the walk along the coastline is spectacular too.

One of the most famous and adored activities on Maui is taking a drive down the Road to Hāna. This winding, twisting highway carries you through some of the most visually spectacular scenery on the island, all in one easy go. It can be hard to notice how beautiful the area is if you are the one driving however. It's a tough drive sometimes, and you would need your full concentration to be on the path ahead. So, the best way to actually, truly take in the majesty of this area is to let someone else handle the driving so you can dedicate your whole attention to the scenery.
Start your morning with a continental breakfast with beautiful views before starting the winding road that is the Hāna Highway. Your tour begins right at pickup from your hotel or condo as your guide takes you down the plantation routes and historic roads around the island of Maui.
We go through small towns of Maui's North Shore and beaches that are paradise for surfers of all ages making a stop for a breakfast you can purchase on your own. Before long, we enter the thick rainforest that makes up most of Maui's Northern coast. Around almost every one of the 600 turns there is an amazing scene and at each of the 50 historic bridges you pass over, there are waterfalls to be found.
You will make many stops for treats, pictures and even some time to smell the beautiful tropical flowers. Your guide will keep you entertained and feeling great while you learn about the island's history and people through entertaining stories and fun facts.
The tour will visit the beautiful Waiʻānapanapa State park and it's black sand beach. You will also be able to swim in a waterfall pool if weather permits. With over 120 miles to cover and sometimes going as slow as 20 miles / hour. We pack in over 4 hours of stops on this all day tour. You will be glad you choose to ride in our comfortable vans with elevated seats and huge windows so you can take in all the beauty in style and comfort.
In Hāna we will stop at great places for lunch that your guide will recommend. Lunch is purchased on your own. We will take some time before and after lunch to explore the area around the historic town of Hana.
We will return back down the Hāna Highway for a second dose of incredible views at various overlooks, spend some time at a waterfall pool where you can swim, and even stop to check out some turtles (not always there).
The tour guide will return you to your hotel or condo in South or West Maui in time for a late dinner.
8:05 AM - 8:30 AM - Your tour begins at pickup from your hotel, condo or pier.
8:40 AM - Drive through the beach town of Pā'ia and see the surfers at Hookipa.
9:00 AM - A light breakfast with beautiful views of the West Maui Mountains
10:00 AM - Begin the winding part of the Hana Highway.
10:30 AM - Tropical Rainforest - Experience America's longest highway through a rainforest as you drive through the Hāna Highway.
11:00 AM - Ke'anae - This peninsula of land jets out into the Pacific Ocean bravely enduring the crashing of the waves.
11:30 AM - Wailua Valley - The Wailua Valley can be seen from this cliffside as you pass by Ke'anae.
12:00 PM - Beautiful Maui Waterfalls - The most beautiful waterfalls are found on this road to Hāna.
12:40 PM -Hāna Town & Bay - Exposure to local life in this culturally enriched small town village where the local community gathers for surfing, fishing and canoeing at Hāna Bay.
1:10 PM - Hana Farms Stop - Enjoy a lunch that you can purchase on your own. Your guide will choose from a variety of locations for you to enjoy
2:00 PM - Wai'ānapanapa State Park - Highlights a black sand beach, blowhole, caves, and a ton more!
3:10 PM - Puʻu Kaʻa State Park - Swimming location under a waterfall with multiple scenic small waterfalls.
4:30 PM - North Shore Beaches - Stop to check out some wild Hawaiʻian green sea turtles resting on the local beaches (when available).
5:30 PM - Your guide returns you to your hotel or condo in West or South Maui in time for dinner.

Please be advised that the scheduled pick-up time from cruise ships on the shared Hana tours is 8:30 AM. Pickup and return near the pier in Kahului and is included in the price.
Shared Hana tours are exclusively available on Sundays for Pride of America passengers. For those wishing to explore Hana on a Monday, we recommend booking a private Hāna tour.
If you are staying in Waikīkī - Please book this tour for transportation and flights from O‘ahu.
Meals and other food items are not included in this tour. We encourage our guests to spend directly in the community to support the local families, many of whom have been there for generations. Your guide may purchase some must-try items for you to sample.
You will have the opportunity to pre-order breakfast and lunch items so they are time-prepared and fresh for our arrival. We have many great Polynesian-inspired foods at our stops including wonderful local takes on pastries and cafe treats, coffee, breakfast burritos, bagels, pizza, salads, BBQ, and more. Your guide can help make great food recommendations happen. Including a stop for banana bread at Aunty Sandyʻs.
There will be cold beverages in the cooler all day long. We encourage guests to bring refillable water bottles and we will help refill them throughout the day.
