Less than a mile look for a sign that says PUAKO (in between mile marker 70 and 71).

Make your immediate right onto Puako Beach Drive.

Look for your second right. That's the boat ramp.

You'll see a white sign in yellow letters that says ALOHA, that's a good indicator where you need to turn.

The boat is on your left as you head up the hill.

Head down the hill for a while.

At almost the bottom of the hill there's a junction.

Look for a sign that says PUAKO.

Every day brings something new on the ocean, but the thrill remains constant, keeping us on the edge of our seats. Even though our crew has done this many times, we still get excited for whale season!

Just after leaving the dock, we head into the Nursery grounds to look for newborn calves with their mothers—and more! As we venture farther out, you might see a competition pod—a dramatic battle between males vying for a female's attention. Since humpbacks spend most of their time underwater, we wait in anticipation for them to surface, hoping to catch sight of their awe-inspiring breaches. We also search for singing whales, using our underwater hydrophone to listen to their beautiful songs – the melodies that make these creatures so unique and have played a role in their survival.

Throughout the tour, the Captain and Crew will share insights on humpback behaviors, provide detailed interpretations, and offer fascinating facts about these whales, including the latest theories, historic tales, and even moments of quiet to fully appreciate these majestic animals. Our boat is a 30 ft Rigid Inflatable Boat, the type of boat that is considered one of the safest (hence why the Coast Guard uses them).
Will I get motion sickness?

While this type of boat provides a smooth ride, if you are especially prone to motion sickness, we recommend you take precautionary measures before you embark on this tour.
Is there a bathroom onboard?

Yes! We do have a bathroom for guest use.
