Incredible Views
Hiking the Nāpali Coast is a Kauaʻi must-do! This six- to seven-hour hike will take you along the middle section of the famous Nāpali Coast, with sweeping views of the most dramatic middle sections from unique vantage points. You’ll get muddy, you’ll get sweaty, but it will all be worth it when you’re standing at the top of a cliff, thousands of feet above the ocean, taking in the incredible scenery.
Culture and History
The island is home to various trails that wind through dense rainforests, along the edge of steep cliffs, and past waterfalls and streams. Hiking is also a great way to learn about Kauaʻi’s history and culture. The island has a rich history dating back to the early Polynesian settlers. As you pass through Kauaʻi’s different landscapes, you’ll learn about the role each region played in the island’s development. From the town of Hanapēpē to the leeward side’s arid farmland, Kauaʻi is a land of contrasts. Hiking is the best way to see it all!
Access to Short Hikes
Waimea Canyon is known as the “Grand Canyon of The Pacific.” After our drive along the coast, we’ll take you into Waimea Canyon State Park, where you can take in epic views of the huge canyon as well as the Na Pali coast. We will stop at a couple of the best Waimea Canyon overlooks, including one with a view of 800-foot Waipo’o Falls, before beginning our ridge hike from one of the trailheads in Kōkeʻe State Park or Waimea Canyon SP (depending on your private group and local conditions).

Along the way, we’ll pass through the agricultural towns of Hanapēpē and Waimea and learn the important role they played in Kauaʻi’s history.
We will stop at a couple of the best Waimea Canyon overlooks, including one with a view of 800-foot Waipo’o Falls, before beginning our ridge hike from one of the trailheads. There we will enjoy jaw-dropping views of the world-famous Nāpali Coast and/or Waimea Canyon from these vantage points (weather permitting).
