Whale Watching And Dolphin Adventure
The Ultimate Whale and Dolphin Zodiac Boat Adventure!
Kauai whale watching tours are a must-do in Hawaii! These tours offer you a chance to see humpback whales up close and personal. Humpback whales make their journey to our Hawaiian waters during the months of November through March. During this time, you can witness these gentle giants breaching and hear their song from a distance. Kauai whale watching tours will give your family lifetime of memories and children are always left with a whale of a story for all to hear when they return home. So come join us for a great adventure!
Although not everyone may be familiar with them, humpback whales are some of the most fascinating creatures in the world. These gentle giants can be found in all oceans, but they migrate to Hawaii every year to mate, calve, and nurse their offspring. So keep your eyes peeled for the newly born calves! A baby humpback whale calf is typically 10 to 15 feet long and weighs nearly 2,000 lbs. A fully grown humpback whale ranges in size from 40 to 50+ feet long and can weigh up to 90,000 lbs.! Whales are not the only majestic creatures that you’ll find in Hawaiian waters – you’ll also have a chance to spot dolphins, sea turtles, and a variety of different fish.
You will love the views from the water on our way out to optimal whale-watching areas. Forget the big boat rides, the zodiac ride is an adventure in itself. Dolphin will often swim and play beside the boat. Kauai’s South Shore boasts near perfect weather year-round. “Sunny Po’ipu,” is known for its sparkling beaches and lush vegetation. Your knowledgeable captain and crew will point out the historic sites along the shores and will make sure to alert you when there are whales and dolphin dancing, singing, and generally showing off. You won’t miss a thing!
The ocean is at the heart of what we do. Without the vast ecosystems and diverse species on our reefs, there would be no underwater world for us to educate, explore and enjoy. Each of our tours includes marine ecology education tidbits to ensure you will come away with a bit more knowledge about our amazing ocean and all the creatures who share it. We believe that conservation starts with education, so we are dedicated to teaching our guests about the importance of preserving our oceans and the many ways we can make a positive impact. By taking just a few small steps, each of us can help make a difference in the health of our oceans.

Kauai is one of the best places in the world to see these gentle giants up close, and our experienced guides will ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. During the prime whale-watching season late November/early December to March, humpback whales make their annual migration to the warm waters around Hawaii. This is an incredible sight to behold, and you may even get to hear their songs from a distance. Dolphin sightings are also common, so keep your eyes peeled for these playful creatures as well.
You will board our Coast Guard-certified 25-foot Rigid Hull Zodiac Boat and we will provide a safety orientation before we depart. These are same style of boats used by Navy Seals and US Coast Guard and are known for speed and maneuverability in the waters. This proves to be extremely useful for our Whale Watching tours as it allows us to reach the locations more effectively and directly than the larger catamarans. We do sit much closer to the water, so there’s a higher chance of experiencing a “REFRESHING” splash or two on this tour. However, this also means that we have a better chance of seeing wildlife up close, including whales and dolphins.
Your guide will be sure to point out some spectacular views as you cruise out to the best viewing areas. Our vessels do not have a cover or top for shade, which is by design for best coastline viewing. Hats, sunscreen and/or sun shirts are recommended.
