Description
Mālama Hamakua Maui Kokua Days offer volunteers a chance to actively contribute to the protection and restoration of the beautiful Hamakualoa Lands on Maui’s North Shore. Volunteers will gather at the Haiku Community Center at 8:45 AM before caravanning to the work site. For returning participants, you may head directly to the site on Hahana Road.
Once at the site, volunteers will engage in a range of activities, from removing invasive species to restoring native plants, cleaning up trash, cutting trails, and painting signage. This is a fantastic opportunity to support conservation efforts while enjoying spectacular views of the Maui coastline.
Volunteers will be provided with tools, gloves, and guidance from event leaders. Light refreshments are offered to participants as a token of appreciation for their hard work. Whether you're a local or a visitor, your contribution makes a meaningful impact on the preservation of Maui’s natural spaces.

Itinerary
- 8:45 AM: Meet at Haiku Community Center for check-in and caravan to the worksite.
- 9:00 AM: Arrive at the site on Hahana Road for orientation and instructions from event leaders.
- 9:15 AM: Begin activities, including invasive species removal, trail cutting, and native plant restoration.
- 11:00 AM: Break for light refreshments and enjoy the stunning views.
- 11:30 AM: Wrap up the day’s work and reflect on the impact of your efforts.

Instructions
Volunteers should meet at the Haiku Community Center by 8:45 AM. First-timers will caravan to the worksite. All tools and equipment will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring water, snacks, and sun protection.
Restrictions
Family-friendly and open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
