Big Island Adventure Tours
Explore volcanoes, hike valleys, swim with giants
Everything is bigger on the Big Island
On the Big Island, you’ll find a treasure trove of unforgettable experiences waiting to be discovered. From the fiery majesty of Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, to the lush, cascading waterfalls hidden within the verdant valleys of the Hāmākua Coast, the island offers a landscape teeming with adventure.
Venture into the depths of the island’s lush rainforests as you hike or zipline through its verdant canopies, or explore its magnificent lava tubes, where molten rock once flowed to shape the landscape you see today. No adventure is complete without a visit to the summit of Mauna Kea, the tallest peak in Hawai’i and the ideal spot to witness a breathtaking sunset or gaze at the heavens through one of the world’s most powerful telescopes.
The Big Island is also home to some of the planet’s most extraordinary marine encounters. As you plunge into the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island, prepare to be mesmerized by the vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, colorful sea turtles, and elegant manta rays. Get up close and personal with the gentle giants of the ocean, the humpback whales, as they glide through the azure waters during their annual migration. Or, embark on a thrilling nighttime snorkeling or diving experience, where you’ll witness the enchanting dance of the manta rays, illuminated by the moonlight.
Explore Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park to potentially see lava flows! See the stars from the highest point in all of Hawai’i from Mauna Kea. Swim with giant manta rays or maybe even a whale shark if you are lucky from Kona.
