Mālama Maui Nui’s Community Workday Events are a great way to engage with the local community with hands-on environmental stewardship. Each event focuses on protecting and restoring different areas across Maui through activities such as removing invasive plants, clearing debris, and planting native species.

Itinerary

8:00 AM: Meet at the designated workday location for check-in and introductions.
8:15 AM: Briefing on the day’s tasks, including invasive species removal and native plant restoration.
8:30 AM: Begin hands-on activities with guidance from experienced leaders.
10:30 AM: Break for water and snacks (bring your own).
10:45 AM: Continue with the conservation activities until the day’s work is completed.
12:00 PM: Wrap up and group reflection on the work accomplished.
