This is the absolutely best way to spend the day exploring the Hāna Highway, doing everything you could want. Check the area out from above during a 45-50-minute helicopter tour around the mountain. You will fly over the rough areas of the backside of Maui and even see the Pools of ʻOheʻo from above. Your local, knowledgeable pilot will "talk story" about the landscapes you fly over and share some local legends. The flight above Haleakalā (the "House of the Sun") is humbling as the otherworldly landscape expands below. You will marvel at the many waterfalls along the road to Hāna and the huge sea cliffs that line the shoreline.
Upon landing, your guide will be ready to take you on a tour of the road to Hāna. There will be stops for meals, clean restrooms, banana bread, and local tropical fruit. You will be able to buy food throughout the day. Once we reach Hana we will enjoy some lunch, check out some different colored beaches, including a black sand one. You can even go into a lava tube by the shore!
We head out of Hāna and make additional stops to enjoy the scenery, flora and fauna, and if you are adventurous, go for a swim in a waterfall pool. We may even see some green sea turtles too.
Our tour winds back to the heliport or if you purchased hotel pickup, back to your hotel after a full and very satisfying day of touring Maui.

We will make several stops during the day for food and drinks. One must-do stop is at Auntie Sandy's for some famous banana bread, and we will be stopping for a picnic lunch where you can purchase food from a local business. We also have built-in time during the day for stops at local farm stands. You can sample some of the amazing foods we grow here in Hawaii.
