After paddling past numerous Heiau (sacred shrines), you will view ancient Kamokila Village, the sight made famous in the jungle scene of the film Outbreak. Heading up the north fork of the river, you will have a leisurely paddle through one of Kauai’s most beautiful jungle rivers. Then, you come to the trailhead for the hike to enchanting Secret Falls, an 80-foot fall that descends into a refreshing swimming hole. After a 1.5-mile paddle along the river, you will want to cool off. So, once we reach the trailhead, we will hike to enchanting Secret Falls, an 80-foot fall that descends into a refreshing swimming hole.
