Fly alongside the ridgeline behind lovely Hanalei Bay, and travel south to see the numerous waterfalls of Hanalei Valley as well as the crater below Kauai’s Mt. Wai`ale`ale (weather permitting). During winter, whale watching may also be possible. No matter what time of year you visit, this tour is sure to offer stunning views of Kauai’s natural beauty.
If you’re a movie fan, then this flight should be on your list. This is the island used as the setting for hits like Jurassic Park and South Pacific. Here you’ll also find Kipu Kai, the beach made famous by Harrison Ford’s 6 Days and 7 Nights. To see where they filmed Jurassic Park, we’ll to head inland to Hanapepe Valley. Just be sure to keep an eye out for any dinosaurs! This lush jungle served as the backdrop for the famous waterfall scene.

Your flight takes off from Lihue Airport and heads west, providing stunning views of Kauai’s coastline. Weather permitting; the tour will then take you inland to fly through Waimea Canyon – nicknamed “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” You’ll be amazed by the canyon’s red dirt cliffs, green vegetation, and river winding its way through the center. Next, the aircraft will travel along Kauai’s north shore. Gaze down at the turquoise waters of Hanalei Bay. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a whale or two frolicking in the open ocean (seasonal). The tour then turns south and flies over countless waterfalls tumbling down the verdant mountainside of Hanalei Valley. Finally, fly into the crater of Mt. Wai`ale`ale – one of the wettest spots on earth – before heading back to Lihue Airport.
