These vehicles, also known as quads or 4-wheelers, are characterized by their compact, 4-wheeled design, providing excellent maneuverability and power for exciting off-road adventures. You'll be able to traverse rugged, muddy roads comfortably and visit hard-to-reach destinations typical of backcountry Kauai.

Wilcox Tunnel

The Wilcox tunnel is a wide 20 foot by 20 foot structure that runs for a half mile though a mountain. It was engineered by a man named Elbert Gillin shortly after World War II. Since then, nature has taken over the interior of the tunnel with every surface being covered in greenery.

Description

Take a ride down rugged and exciting landscapes on an exciting offroad adventure! After everyone is geared up and listened to a brief safety presentation you will get to hop into your Polaris RZR vehicles and embark on one of the best scenic tours of Kauai. Over 2.5 - 3 hours (approx. 45 mins of drive time), you will get to explore a wide range of landscapes and landmarks, including the Wilcox Tunnel, Mahaulepu cliffs, and several filming locations from movies like Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean. There will also be two stops along the way where you can stretch your legs. Hike down to Mahaulepu Beach to check out native flora and fauna, and try your hand at fishing in the Waita Reservoir with a traditional bamboo fishing pole.

Be sure to arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in at the office in Old Koloa Town.

Any request for a refund prior to 72 hours is honored with a full cash refund.

In the event of cancellation or request change to your reservation, please note the following. Most Hawaii Tours & Activities originating from Oahu, there is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability.

What Are The Age Requirements?

All drivers must be 18 years of age with a valid Driver’s License. Guests who want to take the tour but are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 25 years of age or older.
Can I Take The Tour If I’m Pregnant?

No, because of the rough nature of offroading we do not allow pregnant women to come on these tours.
Are There Any Health Restrictions?

We do not allow guests to come on the tour if they have serious back problems, recent surgeries, joint issues, or heart conditions. We do our best to provide a safe and fun experience, but offroading with an ATV can be a rough ride.
What Should I Wear?

We recommend comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting wet and dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required.
