Paddleboarding is a great activity for all ages. It can trace its roots back to the 18th century when Native Hawaiians used paddleboards to travel from island to island. The modern applications of stand-up paddleboarding emerged in the mid-20th century with the popularity of surf culture in the 1960s. SUP first came to California in 2005 where it caught on instantly among the locals. Today, SUP has spread across the country and is enjoyed by millions of people. SUP is a great way to get out on the water and enjoy the scenery. It’s also a great workout and a lot of fun.

As the sun sets, the sky turns a beautiful orange, pink, and red. The colors reflect off the water and glow. You’ll be out on a stand-up paddleboard as you watch the sunset. This activity is ideal for a family group as ages 4 – 100 years are welcome! Younger paddlers share a board with an instructor.
We start off with some basic instructions before we hit the water as the sun is going down. As the sun fades into the horizon, you’ll see your board create a halo of light that lights up the ocean floor. You may even see sea turtles, spotted rays, fish, and other sea life passing underneath! In fact, the glow of the lights attracts the plankton that many of our undersea friends feed on. When they start showing up to feed, you will be up close and personal with all kinds of cool creatures. It’s an unforgettable experience.
