Take Home Some Fantastic Pictures!

We love capturing your progress during the lesson on camera! Our water photographer is also an instructor and provides the added service of helping the other instructors coach. We have photo packages available for purchase before and after the lesson. You will save money on these packages by purchasing your photos in advance or on the day of your lesson. We take footage of all our students whether they prepay for the footage. We do not share your photos with other parties. Additionally, we often have someone catching some of the action with a camera from the shore

Description

Learn how to surf in a fun, supportive environment where the water is warm and you have plenty of space to try out your new moves.

We offer lessons for both beginner and advanced surfers. And you can choose from open groups, semi-private, private, exclusive groups, or family lessons. We even offer professional coaching for the advanced surfer. Our goal is to help you enjoy the sport of surfing, whether you're just starting or looking to take your skills to the next level.

Our beginner lessons will teach you the basic elements of the sport, including surfing etiquette, water safety, body positioning, board handling, and paddling. You'll also learn how to get up on your feet and ride the waves. By the end of the lesson, you'll be able to paddle out and catch some waves on your own.
For our advanced students, we offer more refined instruction that matches your riding style. We'll help you correct any bad habits, identify strengths and weaknesses in your technique, and develop competitive strategies. We can also show you how to surf bigger waves safely. No matter what your goals are, we can help you achieve them.

Cancellation

Any request for a refund 72 hours or more prior to the start of the tour or activity is honored with a full cash refund. No refunds are issued for any cancellations inside the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour. There is no refund for no-shows.

There is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability outside of the 72-hour cancellation period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are There Age Restrictions?

No, we can teach all ages from 2 to 99. We require that children under 13 are on a private lesson one on one or with their parents on a family package. If the students are young children, around 6 years old and under they will often need to be on the board with the instructor (what we call a tandem lesson), and this will be a private lesson. If the students are around 70 or older and feel they need the extra attention, a private lesson is advisable.
I Cannot Swim, Can I Take A Surfing Lesson?

Yes, we can certainly take you surfing. We do require for safety that non-swimmers take a private lesson one on one. To join our other lesson types, students must be able to swim comfortably in the ocean without assistance or a lifejacket. We do have lifejackets available that non-swimmers may wear for their comfort during the lesson.
Can My Child Under 13 Take A Lesson?

Yes, young children under 13 can certainly take a surfing lesson, we do require that they take a private lesson (one on one) or a family package with the mom and/or dad. For safety reasons only students 13 years and older may join our Open Group Lesson. The family package was designed to be more affordable for families with young children while still maintaining the highest level of safety. The family package does require that mom and/or dad accompany the young kid(s) in the water. If you feel your child will need to be on the surfboard with the instructor (aka tandem surf lesson) then you will need to sign them up for a private lesson. Often children 2-6 years old feel most comfortable doing a tandem lesson for the first time. We leave this call up to the parents and the child. The youngest we have taken out on a family package is 4 years old, but that is uncommon. In order to take a Family Package, children must feel comfortable enough to go on their own surfboard.
What Should I Bring To The Lesson?

You will want to arrive wearing a bathing suit, and please bring a towel, sunscreen, and water. We are able to lock your items up safely so you may bring your valuables and whatever you need: wallet, phone, camera, change of clothes, etc. You may want to bring along extra money for photos or gratuity. If you are getting a pick up and needing to bring larger items, please inform us ahead of time as there may not be room in the van. *Per Health & Safety guidelines please bring a face mask with you to wear in our vehicles and on land before and after the lessons.
