This exciting narrated tour is unique and will introduce you to numerous locations where some of the most famous classics and blockbuster movies were filmed. The Kauai Movie tour provides an opportunity to experience Kauai through movie sets, taking you on a guided tour journeying through some of the island’s popular filming locations, including settings for “Six Days and Seven Nights,” “Gilligan’s Island,” “The Amazing Race,” “Fantasy Island,” “Blue Hawaii,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
This quaint town in northeastern Kauai earns a spot on this tour because of its prominence in the 1993 film Jurassic Park. Though the amber mine seen at the beginning of the film was said to be in the Dominican Republic, the scene was actually shot in Kapa’a on Kauai. Kapa’a is also one of Kauai’s best shopping destinations, with dozens of boutique shops and art galleries to enjoy.
The Tahiti Nui is a mainstay restaurant on the island of Kauai and has been in operation for over 50 years! As we stop for lunch at this famous eatery, you and your fellow guests will enjoy some mouthwatering dishes in a warm and friendly atmosphere. To tie it in with the rest of the tour, this restaurant was featured in the 2011 comedy/drama “The Descendants,” starring George Clooney. Tahiti Nui is now run by Christian Marston, the original owners’ son, who is carrying the restaurant’s legacy to a new generation of diners.
