See the Spectacular Waimea Canyon
Often called “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” Waimea Canyon is located on Kauaʻi's West Side. Although it's not quite as big as the Arizona version, it is still an incredible wonder unique to Hawaii. The views from the Waimea Canyon Lookout are simply breathtaking - picture buttes, rugged crags, and deep valley gorges for miles on end! The canyon stretches 14 miles long, 1 mile wide, and over 3,600 feet deep. You won't find anything else like this in Hawaii!
Take a Short Nature Hike
Explore the natural beauty of Koke'e State Park on a relaxing stroll through a gorgeous nature trail. You'll be surrounded by a variety of Hawaiian plants and animals, including the scarce red 'apapane and i'iwi birds. They love to drink the sweet nectar of native flower blossoms! Stay along the top ridge and take in the sweeping, beautiful views across the canyon.

Catch a glimpse of the stunning Hanapepe Valley from the lookout and don't miss the chance to stroll across the famous Hanapepe Swinging Bridge.
