Waimea Canyon And Kōkeʻe Tour From O‘ahu Features
See the Spectacular Waimea Canyon
Often called “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” Waimea Canyon is located on Kauaʻi's West Side. Although it's not quite as big as the familiar Arizona version, it is still an incredible wonder unique to Hawai‘i and marvelous in its own unique way. The views from the Waimea Canyon Lookout are simply breathtaking - picture buttes, rugged crags, and deep valley gorges for miles on end! The canyon stretches 14 miles long, 1 mile wide, and over 3,600 feet deep. You won't find anything else like this in Hawai‘i!
Take a Short Nature Hike
Explore the natural beauty of Kōkeʻe State Park on a relaxing stroll through a gorgeous nature trail. You'll be surrounded by a variety of Hawai‘ian plants and animals, including the scarce red 'apapane and i'iwi birds. They love to drink the sweet nectar of native flower blossoms! Stay along the top ridge and take in the sweeping, beautiful views across the canyon.
Visit Hanapēpē Town
Historic Hanapēpē Town is surrounded by lush sugar cane fields. Catch a glimpse of the stunning Hanapēpē Valley from the lookout and don't miss the chance to stroll across the famous Hanapēpē Swinging Bridge. This historic landmark is a must-see, filled with old-fashioned charm. For over a century, the suspension bridge has connected locals and taro farmers, and today it remains a popular attraction for visitors. Join in on the fun and cross this classic swinging bridge!
