We will explore several parts of Haleakalā National Park including the Summit District, Summit Visitor Center, Kalahaku Overlook and Haleakala Headquarters Visitor Center. Our early morning tour begins with your pick up from all South & West Side hotels or condos. Your expert, local guides will transport you across the island on a 38-mile (1.5-hours) drive to the summit of Haleakala to view the sunrise. This tour includes a full breakfast after sunrise (if included at checkout) before returning you to your hotel in the late-morning hours.
Pickup – About 2:30 am
Leave for summit area of Haleakalā: 3:45 am
Arrive at summit district for the pre-dawn show: 5:15 am
Sunrise: 6:45 am
Leave summit 7:00 am
Kalahuku Overlook: 7:10 am
Haleakala Headquarters: 7:30 am
Ranch overlooks: 8:00-8:30 am
Stop at the restaurant for breakfast: 8:30 am
Arrive back at your hotel/condo between 10:00 – 11:00 am
The tour runs year-round, with pick-up times beginning at 2:10 am in the spring and summer months and beginning at 2:40 am in the autumn and winter. Visitors are reminded to dress in warm layers, as the trip to the summit of Mt. Haleakala can be quite chilly, averaging about 20 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. After a day at the Haleakala National Park, visitors are returned to their drop off locations.

Post sunrise breakfast at the Kula Lodge or the Tropical Plantation restaurant (unless you choose not to include breakfast).
You will enjoy a run-of-the-menu option of hot or cold breakfast items, plus coffee, juice or tea. There are vegetarian and gluten-free menu items available too!
Bottled water available throughout the tour although we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.
Please dress for winter weather. The average temperature at the summit is about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Dress in layers and be prepared for all sorts of weather.
There are no refunds for weather unless the tour company cancels the tour due to unsafe conditions.
