Fantastic Trip
“I went on a kayak/snorkeling group tour and everything was just perfect. Steve, our guide, really knows his stuff. He was patient, super kind and friendly and professional. Customer service in general was excellent. Saw some sea turtles, lots of fish and generally had the experience that vacations are about. I highly recommend Maui Kayak Adventures. Really can’t get much better.”

Kayak Makena Turtle Town
The Makena Coastline of South Maui is home to iconic “Turtle Town,” where a population of Hawaiian green sea turtles makes their home! This site encompasses a several-mile stretch of the ocean with a dozen reefs and snorkel spots to explore. Enjoy the gorgeous views of Haleakala Summit, Pu’u Olai, Molokini Crater, Lana’i, Kaho’olawe, and the West Maui Mountains. During the winter months (December-April), the calm waters off Wailea are a hotspot for whale watching too!
Kayak Olowalu Turtle Garden
Situated under the West Maui Mountains, sunny Olowalu hosts miles of coral gardens where many turtles and tropical reef fish come to visit. This area’s rated as one of Maui’s best snorkel sites. It’s popular for the “Turtle Cleaning Station” that Hawaiian green sea turtles frequent to have their shells cleaned by cleaner shrimp and reef fish. While it may be windy at times, the Olowalu coastline also boasts excellent views of Haleakala, Lana’i, Molokini Crater, Kaho’olawe, Moloka’i. Furthermore, opportunities to whale watch in the winter months.
Kayak Molokini
For those looking for a test of physical fitness, try our Molokini Kayak Challenge! Steer free of the many Molokini snorkel boats by kayaking to this unique partially-submerged volcanic crater. Depending on the ocean conditions and time, explore the back outer wall of Molokini Crater and enjoy fantastic snorkeling away from the crowds.
Whale Watch Tour
Maui is one of the world’s best places to see humpback whales as they make their migration through the Hawaiian islands towards Alaska. Kayaking out to search for these gentle giants allows for the most peaceful encounter, without noisy engines, crowds, or diesel fumes. Imagine being just feet away from a humpback whale as they peek above the surface! Our ocean guides are marine naturalists, happy to share all about these fascinating, friendly creatures behaviors, migratory patterns, and more.
