This spectacular 65-minute helicopter tour shows you all the “must-see” attractions and scenic vistas of Oahu. Start in the south to see serene Keehi Lagoon and Historic Honolulu Harbor to Aloha Tower, Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island, and world-famous Waikiki Beach from the air.

On the island’s eastern end is Hanauma Bay, the remnants of a volcanic crater that is now a marine sanctuary and popular snorkel spot. You will also fly over the Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, and around Makapuu Point with a lighthouse and the colorful reef around Sea Life Park. The helicopter flight takes you around to the North Shore where you can fly above Sunset Beach and Pipeline. We even circle over the western shores of Ko Olina and around Pearl Harbor for spectacular views of the Arizona Memorial before landing back at Honolulu Airport.

Our 65-minute helicopter tours give you a lot of opportunities to see some of the best sights that Oahu has to offer. The longer you go, the more you see and the greater the value that is delivered. Oahu is a large island with tons of difficult to reach locations and impassable barriers when trying to explore it on foot or by car. There is nothing to stop a helicopter! Fly over the whole island and experience its many wonders, all while listening to expert live narration by our talented and experienced pilot.

Our longest tour takes you around the South Shore, up along the Leeward coast, we check out the North Shore and then circle around to view Pearl Harbor before returning to Honolulu. This gives you the opportunity to see all the most incredible sights around this beautiful area, all in an amount of time that is easy to fit into any schedule.

Instructions

Open Seating passengers weighing in excess of 240 pounds may be charged an additional fee equal to one-half the cost of one seat. Open Seating passengers weighing more than 300 pounds will be charged for an additional seat. Any two Open Seating passengers from the same reservation whose combined weight exceeds 430 pounds may be required to purchase a comfort seat.
Tour schedule is subject to change. Tour is subject to cancellation due to weather. Only items allowed on tour are cameras and video cameras.
Pickup can be added during booking, and the pickup time is about one hour before the flight.

Restrictions

Seating for parties of more than 6, or weighing a combined 1000lbs, will be seated across multiple aircrafts. Please provide accurate body weights as our ability to execute tours depends on this.

Cancellation

Provide at least 72 hours notice before your tour to cancel or change your reservation. We will be happy to accommodate you.
Cancellations and no-shows within 48 hours of your scheduled tour time will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

When Is The Best Time To Fly?

Regarding the best time of day for a helicopter tour, you should primarily consider your personal schedule. Most of the time, we are blessed with beautiful weather in Hawaii, and the time of day, whether it be morning or afternoon, will make no difference. If we happen to have a rainy weather pattern, the pilot will consult weather reports and other pilots who have been flying to determine if we can operate a good tour. Blue Hawaiian does not want to take our guests on a flight unless we are reasonably certain we can give you an excellent experience.
How Much Experience Do Your Pilots Have?

All pilots who fly for us are highly experienced. In fact, we believe this is the most experienced group of helicopter tour pilots anywhere in the world, and each is required to obtain certification as a State of Hawaii Tour Guide. Furthermore, we are the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.
What Is Your Weather Policy?

The weather in Hawaii is unlike the weather in other parts of the world. We have isolated, passing showers over the windward side of each island throughout the entire day. Weather forecasters usually give a daily report of rain; this is normal Hawaii weather—what creates our beautiful waterfalls and rainbows—and should not adversely affect your tour. Our pilots, who have access to the latest updates on the local weather conditions, make all flight decisions. Our pilots use the latest technology to ensure a safe and beautiful tour. If we have to cancel your tour due to weather, we will only do so on the day of the tour, typically very near to your flight time when the forecast is most accurate. If that happens, we would love to reschedule your flight, but if you cannot, there is absolutely no penalty to you, and you will receive a 100% refund.
Can I Take A Tour If I Use A Wheelchair?

All of our bases are wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant. Each base also has a custom-built chair lift to assist passengers into the helicopter safely and comfortably. Our chair lifts are able to accommodate passengers up to 250 lbs.
