Description
The Kalaeloa (Nimitz Beach) Restoration Volunteer Event is a weekly opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to contribute to the conservation and restoration of one of Oʻahu’s beautiful coastal areas. Every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, volunteers gather at Kalaeloa to remove invasive species like grasses and haole koa, making space for native plants to thrive.
In addition to plant restoration, volunteers participate in litter cleanup along the shoreline, helping to keep the beach clean for visitors and wildlife. 808 Cleanups provides all necessary tools, gloves, and cold water to keep volunteers hydrated.
