The terrain we will be traversing during the tour is rugged, muddy, and rocky. Luckily, all the dinosaurs seen in the Jurassic Park franchise are confined to the big screen. While we don’t have the custom Jeep Wranglers seen in the first Jurassic Park film, we have modified safari-style Ford trucks that can conquer the rough terrain and allow you to see every point of interest on the tour with ease.

This Jurassic Valley Adventure Tour is the perfect opportunity to see some of the most iconic filming locations from the Jurassic Park films. The tour will take you to locations in Kualoa, Hakipu’u, and Ka’a’awa Valleys, including the site of the Indominus Rex paddock and the famous field where the Gallimimus were seen flocking in the first Jurassic Park movie. You will also have the chance to see some of the sets and bunkers used in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This is an excellent tour for fans of the Jurassic Park films, or anyone who wants to see some beautiful scenery and learn more about the making of these iconic movies.

This tour is not just filled with dinosaurs, movies, and TV sets (which there are a lot of). On your tour of Kualoa Ranch, you will be exposed to Hawaiian cultural practices, stories of ranching in Hawai'i, beautiful rainforest scenery, and efforts being made to help make everything more sustainable and beautiful. Please check in 45 minutes before your departure time. You can relax and enjoy the scenery from the main center, explore the gift shop, or grab a bite to eat before your tour, after check-in.

Drive to Kualoa Ranch in your own vehicle or please choose one of our transportation options.

Cancellation

Any request for a refund prior to 72 hours is honored with a full cash refund.

In the event of cancellation or request a change to your reservation, please note the following. For most Hawaii tours and activities, there is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability if there is space and your party is under 3 people.

No refunds are issued for any tours purchased within the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no listing for our hotel. Does that mean there is no pickup available?

In most cases, if your hotel is not listed and itʻs within the Waikīkī area, you may have to walk to the nearest hotel due to traffic or pick-up area safety concerns. There are some streets we cannot drive down or stop for guests. Your confirmation email will provide information about your nearest pickup location.
Do your tour vehicles for the Jurassic tour have seatbelts?

Yes, they do have seatbelts but you are not required to wear them. The tour occurs at slow speeds and on the Jurassic Valley property which is private.
Does The Weather Affect The Tour?

The safety of our guests is our number one priority and weather conditions are always taken into consideration. Generally, unless there are high winds or lightning, our tours go out rain or shine. Kualoa Ranch reserves the right to cancel a tour or reservation if conditions are deemed unsafe. If we do so, we will refund your money for the portion that may have been cancelled.
Are All Tours Guided?

Yes, all tours, activities, and experiences are guided by trained Kualoa staff.

Where Was Jurassic Park Filmed?

Most of the original Jurassic Park film was shot in Kaua'i, but Kualoa Ranch in O'ahu is where the iconic stampede scene occurred. On O'ahu, you will see the sites made famous in Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which include Hakipu’u and Ka’a’awa Valleys.
What About Guests With Certain Health Concerns?

Pregnant/expecting mothers and guests with heart conditions, spinal issues, or joint pain are not advised to participate in Jurassic Adventure Tour as the road is VERY bumpy.
Is Transportation To Kualoa Ranch Automatically Included In All The Tours?

Transportation is not included to the ranch which is about an hour outside of Waikiki. Depending on the time of your tour, there may be group transportation available from Waikīkī or Ko Olina. We can arrange transportation for your group out to Kualoa and return for a fee.
What Are The Allowed Ages For The Different Tours Available?
- Children of all ages are allowed on the Hawaii Grown Ranch Tour, Hollywood Movie Sites Tour, Ocean Voyage Adventure Tour, and Secret Island Beach Activities.
- Children 3 years and older are allowed on all of the above tours as well as the Jungle Expedition Tour and Jurassic Adventure Tour.
- Children 5 years and older are allowed on all of the above tours as well as the Multi-Passenger UTV Raptor Tour and Malama Experience.
- Children 10 years and older are allowed on all of the above tours as well as the eBike Tours (as long as they meet height & weight requirements), Horseback Tours (as long as they meet height & weight requirements) and Zipline Tours (as long as they meet height & weight requirements).
Does the UTV tour include the movie sets?

This tour will take you into Jurassic Valley where over 200 Hollywood movies and TV shows have been filmed over the last 75 years.
