The show itself boasts Maui’s most extreme fire knife dance performance, called “Siva Afi”. Samoan dancers spin and twirl a fire knife on one hand and at times with one on each hand. The spell-bound performance continues as dancers throw the fire knives between one another and from different elevations.

Pele the Fire Goddess is one of the most well known and revered in Hawaiian mythology. She is a goddess of fire, lightning, dance, wind, volcanoes and violence. Her poetic name is Ka wahine `ai honua or the woman who devours the land. She is both a creator and destroyer. She throws molten fountains into the air and governs the great flows of lava. With her power over the volcanoes, she created the Hawaiian Islands and to this day, she has been known to reveal herself throughout the beautiful islands she crafted herself.

You will indulge in an authentically delicious and traditional Hawaiian cuisine served buffet-style which includes free flowing drinks all evening from mai tails to signature cocktails, local beers, sodas, and fruit juices.

The spectacular dinner will feature the elements of earth, fire and water, reflecting the rich Polynesian culture through exciting performances and authentic costumes, where dance celebrates a means of cultural storytelling. The show will feature Polynesian dance traditions from Hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa and will feature a story of the Hawaiian legend Pele, Goddess of Fire. This magical evening concludes with a breathtaking finale of Maui’s own extreme fire-knife dance performance.

Check-ins located at the entrance of the Aloha Pavilion which can be reached through the main lobby.
Starting November 17th , 2024 Check in will be near the main entrance of the hotel, just before Valley Alley
Winter Hours (October 1-March 31): Doors open at 5:00pm

Summer Hours (April 1-September 30): Doors open at 5:30pm

Food & Drink

Dinner is served buffet style with a lavish spread of traditional favorites such as Lomi Lomi Salmon, Pipikaula Poke and Island Poi.
Fresh salads with papaya seed, kula lavender and coconut ranch dressing accompany the main entrees that include Kalua Pua’a which is a slow-roasted pork dish, Huli Huli Chicken with guava barbeque sauce, Steamed I’a (fish) with ginger and tomato relish, Paia Dry Mein Noodles plantation-style and Molokai Sweet Potatoes. Desserts such as Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Lilikoi Cheesecake, Chocolate Chantilly Cake and Coconut Raspberry Cake are served with coffee and tea.

Cancellation

Any request for a refund 72 hours or more prior to the start of the tour or activity is honored with a full refund.
No refunds are issued for any cancellations inside the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour. There is no refund for no-shows. There is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability outside of the 72-hour cancellation period.

Where can we park?

Complimentary Shuttle Service is available for guests staying at the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and the Westin Nanea Ocean Resort Villas. Parking: Whaler’s Village Shopping Center, located to the right of our resort Parking Rate: Valet Parking is $6/hour. Self Park is $15 with validation. Parking is validated if a purchase is made at the Whaler’s Village shops, with a minimum spend.
Which day is the Luau?

Our show dates are Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Additional shows on Wednesday and/or Friday during summer and holidays. Days are subject to change. Check your confirmation e-mail for check-in times. Duration is approximately 3 hours.
Where is the check-in and location?

Check-ins located at the entrance of the Aloha Pavilion which can be reached through the main lobby. Winter Hours (beginning October 1st end March 31st ) Doors open at 5:00pm for Premium Guests and 5:15pm for Traditional Guests.
