Get up close and personal with dolphins! From a waist-deep platform, guests can observe these playful creatures as they show off with tricks, dances, and might even give you a kiss. After a 15 minute orientation and briefing, participants will spend about 30 minutes in the water with these beautiful creatures.

Did you know dolphins are cetaceans? Cetaceans are mammals that live their entire lives in the water, like whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Did you know they breathe air just like you and I? These incredible creatures have a unique pair of lungs that allow them to inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide through their blowhole(s) at the top of their head. It’s also interesting to note that cetaceans have skin and hair, which sets them apart from most fish that have scales. These are just a couple of the interesting things you’ll learn from our naturalists.

Come witness the magic of Dolphin Encounter - an experience like no other in Oahu, Hawaii! We take pride in our professional staff who lovingly care for each of our dolphins. To respect their boundaries and well-being, we do not offer swimming with them. Instead, you'll have the chance to interact with our pod from a waist-deep platform, and experience hands-on training with our expert animal trainers. You'll learn all about their habitat, physiology, and conservation - making memories that last a lifetime. As an added bonus, each participant will receive a free photo with their new dolphin friends (normally priced at $35!). Plus, watch in awe as they attempt to hula dance just for you!

Choose this package for your young family or those who may be timid around these wonderful animals. This introduction allows you to wade in the water as the dolphins swim around you.

Touch, feed and kiss a dolphin in a controlled environment. Your guide will keep you and the animal from harm.

Restrictions

It is REQUIRED that you arrive 1 hour before the start of your reserved program. If you are late or fail to arrive for check-in you will not be able to participate in the activity and there will be no refunds.
No jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, hats, glasses, sunglasses, hair ties, rings, wedding rings, piercings, 3D nail art, etc. and must be removed. For the safety of our marine life, these items must come off. If you are unable to remove any of these items, you will not be able to participate in the program, and no refund will be issued. No exceptions.
Each child 4-7 years must be accompanied in the water by a paying adult, 18 years of age or older. One paid adult per child is required.
Due to the physical nature of this activity, pregnant women are NOT allowed to participate in this program
Bring your own towel and swimwear. Changing facilities are available.
Use only biodegradable sunscreen (available in our gift shop) to protect the animals and their environment.
The use of safety vests is required for all participants and will be provided to participants
This is a physical activity and participants must be in good physical condition, without back or neck problems

Instructions

Anyone acting in a manner which threatens the safety of the animals, themselves, or other people (including; without limitation, unruly or disruptive behavior, or failure to follow directions), may be removed from the activity without a refund
All participants or their legal guardians are required to sign a release of liability and waiver form before participating

Cancellation

Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. If cancellations are made less than 48 hours prior, or your party is a "no show", you will be charged for the full amount.

What Can I Expect Once I’m In The Water?

From a waist-deep platform, you will spend 30 minutes in the water with the dolphins. They will perform tricks and dances then come to greet you at the platform where you can touch and play with them.
Can We Visit Other Exhibits While We’re At The Park?

Yes! Your ticket price includes admission to the entire park! Enjoy the many amazing exhibits while you’re here.
Can kids swim and play with the dolphin in the water? Or they just can stand outside of the pool to observe and touch dolphins?

The dolphin experience occurs in a shallow pool and you will be able to swim alongside them in a controlled environment under the watch of the trainer and guide. This is NOT a free-swim. You will not be able to swim or interact on your own.
