Cutting-edge glass art made on Maui. Inspired by the Sea, Sun, and Sky of the majestic Hawaiian Islands, Ryan Staub created Moana Glass in the beautiful town of Lahaina. Staub calls on his 24 years of experience with hot glass, creating magnificent artwork that ranges from affordable to very expensive in both series and unique masterworks. In our online gallery, you can purchase artwork or catch a glimpse of Staub’s artistic vision.
Open 7 days a week from 8:30AM-5PM. Last lesson starts at 3:30PM. The minimum age is 5 years old. We ask that participants arrive promptly at their lesson time. The lesson times include 30 min to check in, choose their options and get familiarized with the process. Clothing requirements include cotton clothing and closed toed shoes (no keens, crocs, slippers/flip-flops or water shoes). It is also important to note that the glass requires annealing. Each piece is placed in an oven after it is made and will need to slowly come down to room temperature over 24 hours. Lesson pieces will be available for pickup after 3PM the following day. If a customer is leaving prior to their lesson piece being ready, we do have shipping options available.
Moana Glass by Ryan Staub is the only private studio in Lahaina where YOU can learn the ancient art of glassblowing and make your own perfect Maui souvenir. You pick the piece you want to make, select from our assortment of brilliant colors and your instructor carefully tailors your glass lesson to YOU. Your instructor will be with you the whole way, making sure everyone stays safe and ensuring that your piece comes out great! Many of our students, both kids and adults, have told us that glassblowing was the BEST thing they did on their Maui vacation.
