Description
As the only U.S. Coast Guard-certified Polynesian wa'a kaulua, Kamoauli is unlike any other vessel in the world! This gorgeous wooden double-hulled canoe was built in Tonga for the King’s use. It has been lovingly renovated to provide you with a taste of a different time when ocean-faring people traveled the waters of Polynesia.
These canoe sailing expeditions feature sweeping views of the island while you relax on deck with ukulele music and listen to a local expert “talk story” about Hawaiian history, legends, and local culture. Sip a cool drink while gentle trade winds fill the sails. Your guide will highlight local landmarks and ancient places significant to Hawaiian culture. You may even learn a traditional chant!
