Traditional Polynesian Sailing Canoe
Explore Oahu’s coast on a traditional sailing canoe
Coast Guard-certified Captain and crew
Traditional foods and music
Local history and folklore
Sweeping views of the island
Truly unique native Hawaiian experience
Family-oriented for all ages
As the only U.S. Coast Guard certified Polynesian wa’a kaulua in the world, Kamoauli is the only vessel of its kind in the world! This gorgeous wooden double-hulled canoe was built in Tonga for the King’s use. It has been lovingly renovated to provide you with a taste of a different time when ocean-faring people traveled the waters of Polynesia.
These canoe sailings feature sweeping views of the island while you relax on deck with ukulele music and listen to a local expert “talk story” about Hawaiian history, legends, and local culture. Sip a cool drink while gentle trade winds fill the sails. Your guide will point out local landmarks and ancient places significant to Hawaiian culture. You may even learn a traditional chant! The quiet serenity of it all will leave you completely relaxed.
