Team Housing Opt-Out – Transpacific 2027
For Coaches & Team Managers — $500 Per Team
TransPacific 2027 is a stay-to-play event: traveling teams are required to book inside the approved tournament hotel blocks. If your team is local, or already has lodging arranged, you can opt out for a flat $500 per team. Once your opt-out is on file, every family on your roster can book the TransPac Experience Package, luau tickets, or both — and your team competes with exactly the same standing as every other team in the field.
Oʻahu-based teams are exempt. If your club is local, you don’t need this and you don’t pay the fee.
One transaction. One time. Handled by the coach or team manager, not by individual families.
| Your situation | What you need |
| Team is booking rooms in an approved tournament hotel block | Nothing. Families book the Complete Package individually. Meals, shuttles, transfers, and the luau are all included – and your team stays eligible for the Journey Pass travel stipend. |
| Team is based on Oʻahu | Nothing. Local teams are exempt from the hotel requirement and the opt-out fee. Your families can book the Experience Package or luau tickets directly. |
| Team already has lodging — family housing, condo, points, a long-standing arrangement | This opt-out. $500, paid once by the coach or manager. |
| Some families in the hotel, some not | This opt-out. It’s a team-level clearance. Families in the block can still book the Complete Package. |
The housing requirement is satisfied. Your team competes with the same standing as every hotel-block team — same schedule, same brackets, same awards. The one exception: travel stipend eligibility, which requires the Complete Package.
As soon as your opt-out is on file, anyone associated with your team — athletes, coaches, staff, families, supporters — can buy the TransPac Experience Package or standalone luau tickets under your team name.
Your families book under your team name, which means we can keep them on the same shuttle runs, at the same luau table, and in the same communications.

Every booking is tied to a team. Guests select their team affiliation at checkout on all products, which is how we match bookings back to your opt-out, group your shuttle runs, and seat you together at the luau.
Timing matters. Do this before your families start booking. Bookings under a team with no opt-out on file get reconciled afterward — we’ll reach out to you to sort it. That’s a phone call nobody needs three weeks before a tournament.
