Coaches and team managers: the $500 team housing opt-out is what unlocks this package and the luau for your families.
Friday night, every team and family in the tournament gathers in one place. Buffet dinner from the imu, live Hawaiian music, hula, Polynesian fire performance, and team introductions. It’s the official kickoff, and it’s the one night everyone is together before the competition starts.
TransPacific plays across nine venues on Oʻahu, from the Convention Center to two gyms in Kapolei to BYU Hawaiʻi in Lāʻie. Scheduled shuttles run from the official partner hotels in Waikīkī to the tournament venues on all play days, timed to both division blocks. Skip the rental car, skip the cash-only parking lots, skip the stress of getting a whole roster to a gym across the island on time. Roundtrip airport transfers are included too, with a lei greeting waiting when you land.
Meal vouchers at 7Gen partner restaurants cover your group from the luau through Monday lunch. Athletes fuel up, families eat well, and nobody has to find a table for twenty people on short notice. Honolulu is one of the best food cities in the country — go enjoy it.

No Hotel Required — Bring Your Own Lodging
Not every group needs a hotel room. Some teams are local. Some families are staying with relatives on the windward side, or booked a condo months ago, or have points burning a hole in an account. This package is for all of them.
The TransPac Experience Package is the full tournament experience without the lodging. A 7Gen representative still meets you with a fresh lei greeting and your welcome packet — at the airport or at your hotel, depending on how you’re arriving. You still ride the shuttles to the gyms on every play day. You still get meal vouchers at 7Gen partner restaurants from Friday dinner through Monday breakfast. And you’re still at the opening ceremony and the 2027 TransPac Luau on Friday night — buffet, live music, hula, fire performance, and team introductions — sitting with the rest of the tournament instead of watching from the outside.
The only thing missing is the room key.
That last part matters more than it sounds, because TransPacific plays across nine venues spread from Kapolei to Lāʻie. Getting a carful of teenagers to a 8:00 AM start at BYU Hawaiʻi is a different proposition than walking across the street to the Convention Center. The shuttles are the reason most opted-out families buy this package.
One thing to check. This package is for teams that have arranged their own lodging. That’s a team-level decision your coach or team manager handles with the tournament — nothing you need to do as an individual. If your team is booked into a tournament hotel instead, the Complete Package is what you want, and it includes everything on this page plus three nights.
Book by team so we can keep your group on the same shuttle runs and at the same luau table. Aloha!

How the opt-out works:
Coaches: division-champion travel stipend eligibility is governed by the 7Gen Journey Pass Policy (PDF). Check it before opting out.
Oʻahu-based teams are exempt from the housing requirement and the opt-out fee — local clubs can book this package directly.
Coaches: opting out forfeits your team’s Journey Pass division-champion travel stipend eligibility, which requires the Complete Package. Details on the team opt-out page.
Who the opt-out typically applies to:
Oʻahu-based teams are exempt. Local teams don’t need the opt-out and don’t pay the fee — your families can book the Experience Package or luau tickets directly.
Important: the opt-out is a team-level decision, not something an individual guest can elect at checkout. If your team’s opt-out isn’t on file when you book, we’ll reach out to your coach or team manager to get it sorted before the tournament.
Prefer to skip all of this? The Complete Package includes everything here plus three nights in an approved hotel, and satisfies the requirement automatically.
