The Area

Koloa, which is the region that surrounds the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is a perfect blend of old Hawaii charm and modern conveniences located 20 minutes west of Lihue. The Koloa district spans most of Kauai’s South Shore and played host to dozens of plantation workers as the sugarcane industry boomed throughout the 19th century. Now, thanks to generations of multicultural heritage Koloa is one of the most unique and delightful towns in Hawaii.
