Circle Island Experiences Including Pearl Harbor
Explore the Pearl Harbor Memorials
Pearl Harbor is an operating military base, but it is also a significant historical site that commemorates a pivotal moment in U.S. history. The surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy on the morning of December 7, 1941, prompted the country's entry into World War II. We will visit the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and the USS Arizona Memorial, which stand as memorials to the more than 2,400 lives lost during the attack. Visitors can explore the historical narrative through various exhibits, interpretive programs, and historical artifacts on display. The emotional impact of Pearl Harbor offers a deep insight into the past, emphasizing the significance of peace and international cooperation.
The Famous Dole Plantation
One of the most popular destinations on Oahu, the Dole Plantation offers fun activities for the entire family, such as the Pineapple Express Train Tour, the Plantation Garden Tour, and the Pineapple Garden Maze. You can explore informational displays and presentations, as well as the plantation country store, which offers a wide variety of Dole Plantation gifts, local favorites, foods, and refreshments, including the world-famous Dole Soft Serve. You have never tasted anything sweeter than fresh-picked, sun-ripened pineapple! Before we leave, you can purchase fresh pineapple to take home as a delicious reminder of their visit.
Amazing Views and Local History
As our journey continues, we'll circle the island to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Oahu. Our route along the North Shore will take us past renowned surfing spots and stunning beaches. A stop at the Historic Kahuku Sugar Mill for a lunch break, will give you the opportunity to taste the local cuisine from North Shore's best food trucks.
Continuing along the windward coast of Oahu, you'll be treated to unbelievable coastal views. We'll then head to Kualoa Regional Park, offering the perfect backdrop for photos. Our visit to the Nuuanu Pali Lookout will provide panoramic views of the coastline, along with details about the significant battle that took place here during the unification of the Hawaiian islands.
