Description
In the early 1800s, a ship carved through the waves off the shores of O’ahu. On its deck, sailors looking up through the sea-spray saw a strange glittering in the distance. Doing as sailors always do, they concocted a fantastic story about what they saw. A mountain, capped with diamonds. What they saw in truth was calcite crystals in the lava rocks twinkling in the sun, but the name stuck. The mountain they saw was in truth the massive remains of a volcano, extinct for 150,000 years, rising high above O’ahu. With a diameter of 3,500 feet and some of the most impressive and gorgeous coastlines in the world at its base, this former volcano has since become one of the most beloved tourist locations in the world.
Unfortunately, that means that getting to it is a pain in the butt.
So, don’t even worry about it. Use our reliable and convenient shuttling service to skip the miserable parking experience and get straight into a fun hike on one of the most visually spectacular trails in the world. Take a complimentary bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated, put on some reef-safe sunscreen, and get out there to enjoy the incredible vistas and the wonderful sense of adventure on the Diamond Head Crater trail! When you are on the way back, we will happily transport you back to your accommodations too.
