Keiki Hula Show Features
Traditional Hula and Polynesian Dance
The show includes both traditional hula (Kahiko) and modern hula (Auwana), as well as dances from across Polynesia, including Tahitian and Samoan styles, accompanied by live music. The keiki performers dance, chant, story tell and sing their way into your hearts with the stories and songs of Polynesia.
Cultural Education and Storytelling
Led by Kumu Hula Kathy Ralar, the children perform ancient chants, tell stories, and demonstrate traditional movements, sharing the rich heritage of Polynesian culture. The program's founders believe that studying Polynesian cultures empowers children to develop deep respect for their kupuna (forebears), gain confidence through mastering ancient skills, foster teamwork and leadership, and build lifelong friendships.
Support Through Scholarships
Proceeds from the show support the Napili Kai Foundation’s mission to provide scholarships to its student performers, foster cultural education, and preserve Hawaiian traditions for future generations. The Napili Kai Foundation Scholarship Program offers financial support to high school graduates pursuing education for personal and professional growth. Scholarships are awarded to graduates of the Napili Kai Foundation or children of long-term Napili Kai Beach Resort employees.
