Ko Olina Morning Sail And Snorkel Tour Features
A Fun Ride
Meet your captain as you step aboard the 53-foot (16-meter) catamaran and set out for your day’s first stop. As you cruise, you can relax on deck and watch the Hawaiian scenery pass by or explore the boat. Once you reach the snorkeling destination, get fitted for a mask and snorkel and jump into the water, a known habitat for the local spinner dolphins. Float around the coral reef in search of native marine life. As the boat heads back to shore, enjoy the scenery, soak up some sun, or head below deck for a freshwater shower.
Incredible Diving
If you’re looking for a place to snorkel or swim, look no further than the Oahu coast. For one, the water is warmer than all other spots on the island, providing for a very comfortable swimming and snorkeling experience. Secondly, the warm water attracts a more diverse sect of tropical fish to a place that is already teeming with colorful and lively species. The deeper you swim from the shore the larger and more varied the sea life gets. We’re talking colorful coral, eels, spotted rays, octopus, hordes of sea turtles, and even dolphins.
Learn About Local Marine Life
Hawaii’s sea life is truly something to behold. The vibrant colors and patterns of the fish are a feast for the eyes, and there is an incredible variety of species to see. If you’re planning a snorkeling trip to Hawaii, it’s helpful to know which fish you might encounter. Yellow tang: This vibrant yellow fish is one of the most popular Hawaiian reef fish. Butterflyfish: As its name suggests, this fish has beautiful butterfly-like markings on its body. Humuhumunukunukuapua’a: This unusual-sounding fish is actually the state fish of Hawaii! It’s easily recognizable thanks to its distinctive body shape, which includes a long snout and protruding eyes.
