Nā Aʻa Ola, Hoʻihoʻi hou iā Hawaiʻi Reviving Roots, Restoring Hawai`i
Hawaiʻi, often referred to as one of the extinction capitals of the world, faces significant environmental challenges driven by invasive species, unchecked development, and centuries of non-organic monocrop agriculture. These factors have caused watershed degradation, water resource issues, and marine habitat decline.
In response, many organizations are leading native forest restoration efforts to rejuvenate Maui's natural environment. By participating in these efforts, you can directly contribute to increasing the stock of native Hawaiian plants used in restoration projects by our partners. Every propagated plant is donated to enhance Maui's ecosystems and support environmental revitalization.
Participate in educational content display, hands-on activities seeding and potting up native Hawaiian plants, and space to ask questions to learn about Hawaiʻi’s unique plants and animals.
