How Long Are The Lessons?
Each lesson is approximately 2 hours. The lesson starts with 10-15 minutes on land learning the basic technique of surfing, and the rest of the time is spent in the water with your instructor.

Private Surf Lesson Features
Individual Instruction
If the thought of taking a group class with dozens of other beginner surfers has intimidated you in the past, then we would encourage you to book a private lesson. Our instructors are very well trained and can teach anyone how to surf. All skill levels are welcome for both the private and semi-private lessons.
Mauiʻs Beach Park
Many locals and tourists consider our surf spots the best place on Maui to learn how to surf. At one of our spots in Kīhei, the reef and volcanic rock formations shelter the cove on either side, and the gently rolling waves are also incredibly consistent. Our picturesque Maui Beach Park is the perfect sheltered and protected environment to cultivate your favorite new hobby, surfing!
Surfing Equipment Included
Don't own a surf board? No problem! We are more than happy to provide all equipment needed for your lessons to ensure you have everything necessary to have a good time learning your new skill. This includes the board and rash guards. Don't stress about having the right stuff, bring the desire to have fun!

Private Surf Lessons are not just for beginners.
We recommend a private session if you're interested in a more advanced lesson or complete individualized attention. Whether you want to focus on improving your skills or start from the beginning, you'll get the attention you need. Private surf lessons are also highly recommended for children.
No matter your skill level, we can help you learn the basics or improve your form. Sometimes, improving upon a skill requires "unlearning" old habits holding you back. Our expert instructors will give you an evaluation of what's needed to become a better surfer. Didn't bring your gear? No worries - a rashguard, surf shoes, a soft-top surfboard, and safety fins are all included in the lesson. The session will begin with a short land lesson, where, for approximately fifteen minutes, the focus will be on the basics of surfing and water safety. The rest of the time is spent with an instructor in the water, where you will be catching your own waves in no time!
