Plant A Native Hawaiʻian Tree
You can directly participate in restoring Hawaiʻi’s native forests by planting a koa tree or other native species in a designated area on Hawaiʻi Island. Plant your seedling among centuries-old existing trees. The local flora of Hawaiʻi have struggled in recent decades due to an influx of invasive species and human activity. Protecting them isn't even hard, there are just too few people helping. As small of a step as this may feel, it actually helps the local area immensely.
