Learn Without Realizing It

Our guides undergo an intense, six-week training program and are required to shadow a senior guide four times before we set them loose. Be assured the hike will be way more than just a simple nature walk. This is a great way to learn about the local area too!

Plus, all our guides are really cool and fun to hang out with! All of our guides have lived in Maui for at least two years, many were born and raised here. Join us on an adventure as we explore two streams and visit 3 to 5 jaw-dropping waterfalls ranging from 10 to 40 feet high. Take a dip or jump into the refreshing, spacious pools under some of the falls (if you feel brave!). For an adrenaline rush, climb up the volcanic shelves near 3 of the waterfalls to jump 10 to 15 feet off the rock ledges. This popular valley has private trails along the Hana Highway, making it the perfect destination for an exciting day trip. End your day with a luxurious “shower” under a Hawaiʻian waterfall. Our expert guides will teach you all about the island and its lush rainforests. And don't worry about packing a lunch - nutritious snacks and a tasty meal are included in the tour.

We take the worry out of your adventure so you can fully enjoy your Maui hiking experience. While having a fun day in the rainforest, jumping into waterfall pools, and driving the Hana Highway, our guides are conscious of all safety-related needs. Our staff members are trained to provide you with a safe and enjoyable day and are equipped to handle any situation that may arise. Select your hotel/pickup point when scheduling
This tour requires 5 hours from Kahului, 6 hours from South Maui, 6.5 hours from Lahaina and Ka’anapali, and 7 hours from Kapalua. We generally offer a 9 am start time, but the timing will be customizable.

Cancellation

If you cancel 72 hours or more prior to the date of the event, you will receive a full refund less a 10% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 72 hours for any reason, you will receive no refund. You will be provided a full refund if we need to cancel due to weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hotel transportation provided?

Hotel transfers are offered on several of our tours, subject to availability. We’ll pick you up at your hotel for an additional fee and return you after the tour. Transportation is available from all major resort hotels and condominiums, but not private residences or towns outside our service area. Our vans are PUC certified, commercially insured, serviced regularly for high performance, air-conditioned, and cleaned and disinfected after every tour.
What kind of food will be provided on the tour?
This tour will include snacks and a lunch choice:

- Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich
We can accommodate some special dietary needs—just ask. Additionally, you will get:

- Bottled water to drink
What should I wear?

Shorts and short-sleeved shirts or T-shirts are best. If mosquitoes really bother you (your guide carries repellent), you could wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Also, you’ll want to wear your swimsuit to swim in the waterfall pools (optional). Running shoes or sports sandals (like Tevas, Chacos, or Keens) are recommended. They will get muddy!
Will there be a bathroom on the trail?

On some hikes, there are toilets or porta potties at the trailhead. Once we’re hiking, though, we head for the bushes. If you’re uncomfortable using the bushes, please let your guide know before the hike begins so you can decide what’s best for you.

Can children do this hike?

This hiking tour is Moderate—Easy for some, more challenging for others, depending upon weather and water level conditions. Participants must be able to hike unaided over uneven terrain and maneuver confidently over slippery rocks and around tree stumps, roots, and branches. The minimum age is six years old.
