Start your morning with a continental breakfast with beautiful views before starting the winding road that is the Hana Highway. Your tour begins right at pickup from your hotel or condo as your guide takes you down the plantation routes and historic roads around the island of Maui.
After breakfast, we go through small towns of Mauiʻs North Shore and beaches that are paradise for surfers of all ages. Before long, we enter the thick rainforest that makes up most of Mauiʻs Northern coast. Around almost every one of the 600 turns there is an amazing scene and at each of the 50 historic bridges you pass over, there are waterfalls to be found.
You will make many stops for treats, pictures and even some time to smell the beautiful tropical flowers. Your guide will keep you entertained and feeling great while you learn about the islands history and people through entertaining stories and fun facts.
The tour will visit the beautiful Wainapanapa State park and itʻs black sand beach. You will also be able to swim in a waterfall pool if weather permits. With over 120 miles to cover and sometimes going as slow as 20 miles / hour. We pack in over 4 hours of stops on this all day tour. You will be glad you choose to ride in our comfortable vans with elevated seats and huge windows so you can take in all the beauty in style and comfort.
In Hana we will stop for a picnic lunch and check out some of the historic town.
We will return back down the Hana Highway for a second dose of incredible views and various other sites.
The tour guide will return you to your hotel or condo in South or West Maui in time for dinner.
7:00 AM – Your tour begins at pickup from your hotel or condo.
7:30 AM – A light breakfast with beautiful views of West Maui Mountains
8:00 AM – Drive through the beach town of Paia and see the surfers at Hookipa.
9:00 AM – Begin the winding part of the Hana Highway.
9:30 AM – Tropical Rainforest – Experience America’s longest highway through a rainforest as you drive through the Hāna Highway.
10:00 AM – Ke’anae – This peninsula of land jets out into the pacific ocean bravely enduring the crashing of the waves.
10:30 AM – Wailua Valley – The Wailua Valley can be seen from this cliffside as you pass by Ke’anae.
11:00 AM – Beautiful Maui Waterfalls – The most beautiful waterfalls are found on this road to Hāna.
12:00 PM – Wai’ānapanapa State Park – Highlights a black sand beach, blowhole, caves, pool and a ton more!
1:00 PM -Hāna Town & Bay – Exposure to local life in this culturally enriched small town village where the local community gathers for surfing, fishing and canoeing at Hāna Bay.
Tours return back down the Hana Highway for additional swimming opportunities, more scenic overlooks, and more waterfalls. Other days the tour continues around the island to visit additional spots.
5:00 PM – Your guide returns you to your hotel or condo in West or South Maui in time for dinner.

One of the most popular stops on the Road to Hana is Waianapanapa State Park which contains a lot of amazing natural features, historical sites, and beautiful scenes everywhere you look. That includes a picturesque black sand beach. Walk along this beautiful beach and get your feet into the wet sand. This exposed North Shore beach will leave you in awe. The nearby cave is fun to explore and the walk along the coastline is spectacular too.
