This semi-private lesson is perfect if you are a beginner or even just looking forward to improving your skills; we teach you everything about getting started including choosing appropriate gear, learning basic techniques like mounting and riding, as well other important safety procedures that you need to know before going into the water.

This is a semi-private lesson for only two students, so you’ll have plenty of attention from your experienced instructor. With our help, you’ll be up and surfing in no time. Even if you’ve never surfed before, your instructor will work closely with you to get you comfortable and standing on that board in no time.

Six start times daily – 9am to 3pm
1.5-hour lesson
Weight limit: Under 300lbs.
Check-in for lessons is at the Sheraton’s beach activities hut (right next to Lava’s on Poipu Beach) 2440 Hoonani Rd, Koloa, HI 96756
All people will need to be able to swim in ocean waters without assistance. Smaller stature people and children will need to be able to control the surf board on their own with limited assistance. If you feel this may be an issue, please consider a semi-private or private lesson.
If you cannot swim on your own in the ocean you may be refused the lesson and will be considered a day of cancellation, forfeiting all monies paid.

Any request for a refund prior to 72 hours is honored with a full cash refund.

In the event of cancellation or request change to your reservation, please note the following. Most Hawaiʻi Tours & Activities originating from Oʻahu, there is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability.

The weather on Kauai can be rainy. We will surf, rain or shine unless there is severe weather expected.
