Discover 10 Hawaii island highlights in a day on this comprehensive tour. Instead of juggling hire cars and cabs, you can relax and enjoy the sights with a guide to handle planning and navigation. Visit various attractions such as Rainbow Falls, a black-sand beach, and explore Volcanoes National Park to see and learn about its volcanoes, craters, and lava flows.
We start the day with pickup at your hotel or accommodation near Hilo and will drive through Banyan Park on our way to see the famous Rainbow Falls. A stop at Liliuokalani Gardens is perfect for a photo op! On to Richardson State Beach to walk along this fascinating black sand beach, then we head to Volcanoes National Park, the site of the most recent volcano eruption. Experience the heat rising from ground where molten lava had covered the whole area. After a full day of incredible adventure, we will drop you off at your starting point.

Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park
Visit Hawai’i Volcano National Park with a private guide to take you to the most worthwhile stops and views. Maunaloa is the world’s largest active volcano standing at a staggering 30,085 feet (9,170 meters)! Other stops include a lava tube that you can walk through and the Visitor Center where you can purchase souvenirs.
Historic Hilo & Cultural Importance
A must see is Queen Liliuokalani Gardens – you will marvel at the beauty of the largest Japanese-style gardens outside of Tokyo. We will visit the original King Kamehameha Statue where you can take a photo of Kamehameha the Great.
Banyans, Beaches, & Waterfalls
A typical itinerary includes:
A visit to Rainbow Falls, where on a normal sunny day you will see rainbows hover over the waterfall. Then we will take Banyan Drive, where rows of Banyan trees planted by – and in memory of – some very famous people. Babe Ruth and President Nixon are just two of the names you’ll recognize.
