Located a few blocks back from the beach, this hotel is located on the more “local” of the two main streets that cut through Waikiki. On this street, a block from the Ala Wai Canal, you will find a variety of great restaurants, small shops, and the ever-present ABC stores. You will need to walk 3 or more blocks to get to any group of sit-down restaurants and multiple food truck parks are just beyond that. Getting to the beach is about 4 blocks away but most of it can be through the park if you choose that route.

From the hotel, a short walk will get you to the beach and to the mall for some shopping. Walking along the Ala Wai canal is a popular exercise option and for those who are looking to take a longer trip down to the Honolulu Zoo, about a mile away. Sightseeing tours and activities that include transportation will pick up outside the front entrance while some boats and surf lessons will require a walk or a drive to a park, a few miles away.
