Maui is home to some of the best snorkeling in the world, but the more popular spots have a tendency to get crowded with big boats and dozens of eager snorkelers. This tour will allow you to skip the crowds and enjoy a relaxed snorkeling experience near Lanai. The island of Lanai is a 20-minute boat ride from Maui and has more than a dozen snorkel spots to choose from! Lanai is known for its unique reefs, sea cliffs, and dolphins.

Marine Wildlife

Snorkeling with marine wildlife is a unique and unforgettable experience. You never know what you’ll see while snorkeling. One moment you might be peacefully swimming along, admiring the colorful fish and coral, and the next you might see a Hawaiian Green sea turtle swimming gracefully through the water. Other creatures you have the possibility of seeing on this excursion are reef sharks, octopuses, and the numerous tropical fish that call the reefs around Lanai home. We can’t swim with the Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins because of wildlife protection laws, but we can watch them from the boat!

Beginner Friendly

Snorkeling is very easy to get the hang of, and only requires a couple of key pieces of equipment to get started. Included with your tour will be all the gear you need to jump and start enjoying the marine wildlife, including a mask, a snorkel, fins, and a flotation device. There will be instructors with you in the water and a Marine Naturalist on board the boat to help you identify what you see in the water as well as to answer any questions you may have.

Be sure to arrive at the Lahaina Harbor by 7:30 am to check-in. This 6+ hour tour is perfect for those looking for an unforgettable Hawaiian experience. Our small group sizes of 16 or less ensure that every guest has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the views. Guests will ride aboard a lightweight adventure-style rafting vessel which offers a more intimate setting than larger boats. The rafting vessel also allows us to get up close to the snorkeling locations we visit, making it easy for guests to jump in for a swim or explore the reefs. This family-friendly tour is perfect for beginners, as our expert guides will provide instruction and equipment.

We visit 2-3 different snorkeling areas around the island of Lanai, each with its own unique ecosystem. You'll have the chance to see a wide variety of tropical fish, corals, and marine life. Take a break from snorkeling to enjoy fresh banana bread, fruit, lunch wraps, and other snacks and beverages. Our knowledgeable guides are always on hand to answer any questions you may have about the native marine life or the island itself. At the end of the day, we'll cruise back to Lahaina Harbor where you can relax and reflect on your amazing day spent on the water.

Cancellation

Any request for a refund 72 hours or more prior to the start of the tour or activity is honored with a full cash refund.

No refunds are issued for any cancellations inside the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour. There is no refund for no-shows. There is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability outside of the 72-hour cancellation period.
