The on-site retail store and café is the perfect place to purchase made-in-Maui chocolate bars, gifts, and sweet treats after your tour! Spread the island chocolate joy with edible take-home souvenirs for friends, family, and colleagues. Our café offers chocolate tasting flights, brownies, mousse cups, French press coffee, milkshakes, and more! Enjoy breathtaking 260-degree views from the breezy upstairs pavilion, which has open seating from 12:30-4:30pm every day except Sunday when it closes at 3:00pm. Description
Take a sweet field trip through our chocolate paradise, nestled in the foothills of the sloping West Maui mountains. Our cacao farm is in the ahupuaʻa or traditional Hawaiian land division of Kuʻia, in the moku (district) of Lāhaina. This immersive and hands-on tour introduces you to our more than 8,000 of cacao trees spread across 20+ acres. These trees provide raw material for our world-class, award-winning chocolate, which you will get to learn about through the fruit harvesting techniques and production process that goes from farm, to factory, to chocolate bar.
Our friendly and informative guides will answer all your cacao questions, so don’t be shy! They’ll also share what the company does to honor our kuleana (privilege and responsibility) to the land and our community. Our chocolate has a much greater mission than satisfying your sweet tooth, although it does that very well.
All the company’s net profits go to Maui charities or non-profit organizations. We are also proud to run on 100% solar energy, and we have achieved a net zero carbon footprint. We do our best to source as locally as possible and use more eco-friendly supplies for our packaging and services as we strive to constantly improve our sustainability efforts. Perhaps it’s that extra care, passion, and aloha that comes through in the exclusive and delightful 9-piece tasting our guests gush about. All re-bookings and changes to group size require 24 hours’ notice, no reservations will be changed within 24 hours.
Children under 3 are not allowed on the 90-minute farm tour (they are for 45-minute tastings). No refunds will be issued for groups who arrive with children under 3 for a farm tour.
