Descriptions
The Transpacific 2027 Event Package is the official travel program for the tournament, built so that teams arrive together, stay together, and spend their weekend on volleyball instead of logistics. TransPacific is a 7GEN Journey Pass Event, which means every traveling team is required to stay inside the approved tournament hotel blocks — booking this package takes care of that requirement in one step.
Your package starts the moment you land. A 7GEN host meets your group at Honolulu International with a fresh lei greeting and a welcome packet, then loads everyone onto group transportation straight to your Official 7GEN Partner Hotel. Every hotel in the program sits in or beside Waikīkī, within walking distance or a short scheduled shuttle ride of the Hawaii Convention Center — the main tournament venue.
Friday night, before a single ball is served, every team comes together for the 2027 TransPac Luau and opening ceremony — a buffet dinner, live Hawaiian music, hula, and fire performance. It’s the moment the tournament actually starts, and it’s the one night everybody is in the same place at the same time.
From there, the weekend runs on our schedule so it doesn’t have to run on yours. Saturday and Sunday are pool play at the Hawaii Convention Center, with divisions playing either an 8:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–9:00 PM block. Monday morning is the medal round — third place, then the championship — with awards to follow and evening flights home. Shuttles loop the Waikīkī area around all of it. Meal vouchers cover you from Friday dinner straight through Monday Lunch at 7GEN partner restaurants..
Because rooms are assigned by registered team, your players, coaches, and families end up under the same roof. Parents can find their kids. Coaches can find their players. And when the last whistle blows, everybody’s already in the same lobby ready to celebrate.
Choose single premium, double, triple, or quad occupancy, add extra nights on either end if you’re making a vacation of it, and we’ll handle the rest.

Itinerary
This is a sample schedule for the standard 3-night package, Friday, January 15 through Monday, January 18, 2027. Your division’s exact play times and shuttle times are confirmed once the official tournament schedule is released.
Day 1 — Friday, January 15: Arrival, Lei Greeting & Opening Ceremony Luau

Resort fees, parking, and incidental room charges are not included and are paid directly to the hotel.
Tournament registration and airfare are not included.
Rooms are released on a first-come basis and the tournament block is limited. Book early — Waikīkī sells out in January.
Additional nights before or after the tournament are available at the rates above, subject to hotel availability.
Outrigger properties require a minimum of 10 rooms.

The TransPacific Volleyball Championships is a 7Gen Journey Pass Event, featuring:

What this means for you: this is a stay-to-play event. If your team is traveling to Oʻahu for the championships, your rooms must be booked inside an approved tournament hotel block. Reserving the Event Package on this page places you in one automatically and satisfies the requirement — no separate form, no proof of stay to chase down. Teams that book outside the approved blocks risk being ineligible to compete.
It also means the hotel list below isn’t just a convenience. These are the approved properties, negotiated at tournament rates by our on-island team, all within walking distance or a short shuttle ride of the Hawaii Convention Center.

Outrigger Hotels (minimum 10 rooms required)
All Outrigger options sit in the heart of Waikīkī. These properties are available only for groups booking 10 rooms or more.

Specific hotel placement is confirmed after your team’s roster is finalized. All partner properties are vetted by our on-island team.
Meals
Your meals are covered from Friday night through Monday lunch. That’s the opening ceremony luau on Friday, 2 meals a day Saturday and Sunday, and Monday.
Friday’s dinner is the 2027 TransPac Luau — a full buffet: kālua pork from the imu, poi, lomi salmon, chicken long rice, fresh island fruit, and haupia for dessert, with vegetarian options available. Non-alcoholic drinks are included; a cash bar is available for guests 21 and over.
Every other meal runs on 7GEN partner restaurant vouchers, and you’ll want to use every one of them. Honolulu is one of the best eating cities in the country and Waikīkī packs it all into a few walkable blocks — loco moco and Portuguese sausage for breakfast, poke bowls and plate lunch between matches, ramen, Korean BBQ, garlic shrimp, and shave ice when the day’s done. Try the family restaurants, the food trucks, and the hole-in-the-walls. It’s part of the experience here, and your athletes will be glad you did.
Vouchers are handed out in your welcome packet and are redeemable at participating partner locations. The full partner list, hours, and locations are included in the packet and on the tournament app.

What To Expect
- This is a stay-to-play event. As a 7GEN Journey Pass Event, all traveling teams must book inside the approved tournament hotel blocks. Booking this package satisfies the requirement. Teams that stay outside the blocks risk being ineligible to compete.
- Book under your team. Select your team name at checkout so we can group your rooms. If your team isn’t listed yet, choose “Other” and we’ll match you manually.
- Names must match IDs. Every guest name has to match their government-issued ID exactly. Hotels will deny check-in for mismatched names, and name changes after the rooming list is submitted may not be possible.
- One primary guest per room. The primary guest is responsible for check-in, incidentals, and a credit card on file for resort fees and room charges.
- Hotel assignment comes later. You’re booking into the Official 7GEN Partner Hotel program, not a specific property. Your hotel is confirmed by email once team rooming lists are finalized.
- Resort fees are separate. Partner hotels charge their own resort and amenity fees, settled directly with the property at checkout. Amounts vary — your confirmation will list the fee for your assigned hotel.
- Standard check-in is 3:00 PM, checkout 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late checkout are subject to availability.
- Monday is a full day. You check out at 11:00 AM but don’t fly out until evening, with medal-round games in between. Store bags at the front desk on your way out and plan to be out of the room all day. If your group wants a room to change and shower in before a redeye, ask us about a late checkout or a day-use room.
- Monday dinner are not covered. Meal vouchers run Friday dinner through Monday lunch. Budget for 1 meal on departure day.
- The luau is on arrival night. The opening ceremony luau is Friday evening, January 15 — the same day you land. Pack your aloha wear in your carry-on in case a bag is delayed, and book Friday flights that land with enough cushion to check in and change.
- Divisions play in one of two blocks. Saturday and Sunday pool play runs either 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM depending on your division. You’ll know your block when the official schedule drops — plan meals, beach time, and any add-on tours around it.
- Shuttles run on a published schedule, not on demand, and are timed to both play blocks. Times are in your welcome packet. Credential or wristband required to board.
- Airport transportation is by group. Arrival and departure transfers are coordinated around your team’s flight times, so you may wait briefly for teammates on the same flight window.
- Dress for the islands. January in Honolulu averages 80°F days and 68°F nights with passing showers. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, a light layer for the 9:00 PM block, and something nice for luau night.
- Minors travel with their team. Athletes under 18 must be rostered with a team and accompanied per your organization’s chaperone policy.
- We’re local and we’re here. Our on-island team is available throughout the tournament. Whatever you need, just ask us.
Cancellations
- Cancel at least 30 days before your arrival date for a full credit refund. This package is a group booking, so the 30-day group window applies to all reservations.
- Cancellations inside 30 days of arrival are non-refundable, as hotel rooms and luau seats are committed on your behalf.
- Name changes can be made at no charge up to 14 days before arrival. After that, changes are subject to hotel approval and may not be possible.
- Reducing occupancy (for example, quad to double) after the rooming list is final may change the per-person rate for everyone in that room.
- Cancellations are only valid by email or by phone with a live agent. Voicemail, text message, and social media messages are not accepted.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended for tournament travel.
