Wailua is most famous for its natural beauty as well as for the huge and peaceful river that runs through the region. This side of the island is also known as the Coconut Coast because of the number of coconut trees that can be seen growing in the ideal tropical conditions. The town of Wailua offers plenty of options for dining and shopping with distinct local charm. The Kauai Shores Hotel offers the best location from which to explore the Wailua River as well as the rest of the island.

The Kauai Shores Hotel is located close to the water so guests will always have easy access to the ocean and can jump into when they need to cool off. While you are staying at the hotel, be sure to attend one of the morning yoga sessions which happens each morning at 8:30 am. There are also bicycles available daily from 7 am – 6 pm which you can use to cruise along the coast and find the perfect spot to relax on the beach. The Hotel

All of the rooms in the Kauai Shores Hotel were recently renovated and the decor was updated to give each guest their own colorful enclave in which to unwind and relax after a day of exploring the island. Each room features high-speed internet, a large HD TV, a coffee maker, and an open-air lanai. Some rooms are even equipped with a kitchenette if you prefer to cook your own meals. Hotel amenities include but are not limited to a 24/7 business center, a laundry facility, two swimming pools, a sundeck, and valet parking.

The Pool

There are two pools on the property, one at the front, and one in the middle. There is also a hot tub adjacent to the pool in the middle. If you are feeling the heat of the day, but still want to relax outside you can grab a lounge chair and jump in the cool blue water when you want. The hot tub is also a perfect place to relax towards the end of the day when the sun has gone down.

If you are looking for an award-winning dining experience just steps from your room, then be sure to stop at the Lava Lava Beach Club during your stay. Loved by hotel guests and locals alike, the Lava Lava Beach Club is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, enjoy grab-and-go options including sandwiches, burritos, and smoothies. For lunch, you will find a fresh selection of burgers and salads. Happy hour takes place between lunch and dinner and features a lighter fare with ahi poke, edamame, and homemade salsa and chips.
