Divers should have a moderate physical fitness level.

A diver must be able to carry their own SCUBA gear in and out of the water.

Everyone in my party is in good physical health with no pre-existing medical conditions that may affect the ability to scuba dive.

I understand that everyone in my party cannot exceed an altitude of 1,000 feet or higher for 12 hours after scuba diving or 18 hours for multiple dives. For example, you must avoid ascending Haleakala, zip-lining and helicopter tours for up to 18 hours. $

I confirm that all members of my party are comfortable swimming in the ocean. $

I understand it is my responsibility to complete the Discovery Dive eLearning on PADI’s site before this experience. $

I acknowledge the following: Cancellations and rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to tour start time. No refund for tour cancellations within 24 hours. Refund provided if doctors note can be provided. $

Description

The introductory SCUBA diving course welcomes beginners without any prior experience. With the guidance of a PADI Professional, you'll grasp fundamental safety protocols and skills essential for diving.

Here's what to expect:
1. Engage in PADI eLearning to acquaint yourself with SCUBA basics ahead of your dive.
2. Familiarize yourself with SCUBA gear and its underwater application.
3. Experience breathing underwater for the first time.
4. Acquire fundamental skills crucial for every SCUBA dive.
5. Enjoy exploring Maui's gorgeous coral reefs, encountering turtles, and various tropical fish.

Upon booking your lesson, you'll receive an eLearning login for necessary reading and videos, requiring approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. On the dive day, your instructor will meet you, review the eLearning material, and brief you on basic water skills before heading to the dive site. There, you'll practice mask clearing and regulator recovery under your instructor's guidance. Once you feel comfortable, you and your instructor will proceed with the dive.

Prior to lesson, students must pass the PADI medical form, and complete the online PADI eLearning.

Cancellation

Any request for a refund 72 hours or more prior to the start of the tour or activity is honored with a full refund.
No refunds are issued for any cancellations inside the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour. There is no refund for no-shows. There is no charge for a date change or tour change based on tour availability outside of the 72-hour cancellation period.

How deep will I dive as a beginner?

On your first dive you will go to a maximum depth of 40 feet.
Can I learn to SCUBA dive if I can't swim?

Though you can technically SCUBA dive without knowing how to swim, we require our guests to be able to swim for safety and comfort in the water.
How do I prepare before the lessons?

Introductory SCUBA diving doesn’t require much studying or bookwork before you dive. There is a short theory lesson to be completed online before arriving at the shop. After watching the video and reading the theory lesson just come ready for fun!
