Our Honolua Ridgeline Hike Tour begins at the Hele Wai baseyard in Napili, Maui. Here, At the beginning of your journey, you will be informed about the challenge ahead and given a summary of safety precautions. We’ll depart by van for the beginning of the trek after that. We’ll follow a 1-mile trail to the top of Pu’u Kukui Preserve to enjoy stunning views, where we’ll take in the indigenous vegetation, massive banyan trees, and ocean vistas. We’ll pause at multiple points along the upward climb to take breaks and learn about the rainforest that surrounds us.
After a magnificent panoramic view of the region, we will begin our trek down from the top of the mountain. The length of this stage is approximately 45 minutes. At the conclusion of the tour, we’ll stop at Honolua Bay to savor a fresh pineapple snack as well as to enjoy the picturesque sights of the bay itself. On a good day, you may see quite a few surfers out enjoying the waves.

Honolua Bay is a world-renowned surf spot on Maui’s northwest shore. Experienced surfers flock to the bay during the winter high surf season when Honolua’s hollow, powerful wave offers long rides. The bluffs above the bay offer visitors a great vantage point for watching the pros from a safe distance. Honolua Bay is also a popular snorkeling and scuba diving location during the summer months. Whether you’re looking to catch some waves or take in Maui’s underwater beauty, Honolua Bay is sure to provide an unforgettable experience.
Other than the gorgeous bay, Napili is also home to a number of great snorkeling spots. Baby Beach is located just south of the bay and is perfect for families with small children. The water is shallow and calm, making it a great place to introduce little ones to the world of snorkeling.
