Carthaginian Dive Features
The Carthaginian II
The Carthaginian II is a replica of a whaling vessel, sunken off the coast of Maui in 96 feet of water. Today, it is one of the most popular dive sites in Hawai’i. The Carthaginian II is home to a variety of marine life, including eels, sharks, and turtles. In addition, the wreck is covered in corals and sponges, providing a beautiful backdrop for photographers. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dive experience, the Carthaginian II is certainly worth a visit.
Maui’s West Coast
Maui’s West Coast is a Mecca for divers. The island features world-famous dive sites like Molokini, Black Rock, and Honolua Bay. But Maui’s West Coast has something for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver. The clear, warm waters offer excellent visibility, and the variety of marine life is simply amazing. You can see everything from colorful reef fish to giant sea turtles.
Perfect for Underwater Photography
Located 96 feet under the water, the remnants of the Carthaginian II is a great site to take photos, both of the remains of what had once been a floating museum, and of the many sea creatures that now make its hull their home. There are countless opportunities for both casual and professional photographers to capture the eerie wonder this location.
